General

A high-gain dedicated 406 MHz Beacon Monitor that receives and logs all Cospas-Sarsat 406 MHz beacon transmissions (self-test and live activation). Applications include port monitoring, airfield monitoring, park monitoring, beacon manufacturing or test facility monitoring, beacon self test transmission verification, tower verification of ELT signal strength, and many others. The FBM100 decodes the beacon message and measures the transmitting beacon 406 MHz frequency and relative signal strength! Versitile software allows the user to customize the application. Use the included antenna or connect an external antenna for increased area coverage

Features

  • real-time 406 MHz beacon monitoring

  • -125 dBm sensitivity!

  • adjustable receiver sensitivity level – reduce sensitivity when not needed.

  • dynamic auto adjust threshold level – virtually eliminates noise triggered responses

  • USB interface to PC – no external power supply needed

  • data logging capability - organizes and timestamps the data

  • custom filtering capabilities to help organize data.

  • user settable alarms to alert when live transmission is received – even send automatic email!

  • displays and decodes 406 message

  • measures and displays 406 MHz frequency

  • measures and displays RSSI (receiver signal strength)

  • decodes GNSS location information and displays distance to beacon when transmitting beacon includes location data.
    · softwate includes a Google EarthTM interface! When the transmitting beacon includes location data, the software automatically maps the location of this location data directly into Google EarthTM. It displays unique icons for ELTs, EPIRBs, and PLBs, along with decode information, 406 MHz frequency, RSSI, and timestamp of the beacon. Allows use of the rich graphical and overlay features of Google EarthTM.
